In late February - early March 2020, the leaders of the Yardem National Islamic Charitable Fund, as members of the Public Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited PKU IK-2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.
On February 21, the Public Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan, composed of I. Satdinov, I. Ismagilov, and G. G. Balafendieva, an expert with the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, carried out an inspection visit to PKU IK-2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. The hostel of the detachment under strict conditions of detention (SUS) was chosen as the object of verification. On personal issues, 4 citizens were admitted, 2 of them on the issue of medical care, 1 on the possibility of visiting him by a representative of the Muslim faith, 1 on the issue of entering the general conditions of detention. When visiting the punishment isolator and the detachment, the conditions of detention were strictly examined, cameras, shower rooms, walking yards, conversations were held on the conditions of detention, medical assistance, and food. When checking the industrial zone, the working conditions of the convicts were studied, as well as safety measures at work.
